Membership

Membership in the China Students' Club of Boston is open to all individuals interested in the study of ceramics, both pottery and porcelain from around the world. Meetings are held from September to May with the exception of December, generally on the last Thursday of the month. The Annual Meeting is held in May. Members of the Executive Board and Board of Governors are elected every two years and are drawn from and elected by the membership.

In addition to the monthly programs, members are invited to participate in occasional field trips and special events and receive the club newsletter, Shards, several times a year. This publication contains summaries of recent club lectures, information about current and upcoming events in the ceramics field including exhibitions, auctions, and shows. From time to time, we have the opportunity to participate in programs with other organizations such as the Wedgwood Society, the Providence Pottery and Porcelain Club, and the American Ceramic Circle.

Prior to each China Students' Club program, all members are invited to have lunch at the College Club, by making a reservation a day in advance (617-536-9510). This is an excellent opportunity to socialize with other members.

Dues are paid on an annual basis. To be included in the club directory ("The Blue Book"), dues must be received by 1 July for the upcoming program year. Dues are as follows:
